Concept of change is ludicrous from candidate in an electoral district that's seen no change for 11,504 days, long enough to make a Prussian autocrat green with envy

Without any sense of irony, Chilliwack-Hope incumbent member of Parliament Mark Strahl is obediently repeating the Conservative Party's mantra that they offer "change."

It's hilarious.

I saw Strahl's most recent post and if I didn't know it was real, I might have thought it was parody.

"Monday, April 28, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. it's your last opportunity to vote for 'change' in this country," Strahl said with a straight face in a Facebook video posted on April 24, 2025.

What is the "change" Mark Strahl says you should vote for? Did the Strahl family get a new dog? Change churches? Voting for Conservative Party "change" in this Eastern Fraser Valley riding is the exact opposite of change. There's been one Strahl for 14 years, before which another Strahl for 18 years.

Below is the unchanging history of the fiefdom the Strahls would like you to vote for, for change, that's been in place since before anyone under the age of 30 was alive. That's October 25, 1993 to April 24, 2025, which was yesterday's unironic Strahl post asking for change by revoting for a regime that's lasted 31-and-a-half years.

That's 11,504 days.

There was some party-name swapping with Chuck in the first decade of his time in Parliament as the Reform-Alliance-Conservatives weren't sure quite who they wanted to be.
