No in-person debate planned so this might be only chance for voters to see them together

The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association are hosting a 2025 federal election "debate" for the candidates in the Chilliwack-Hope electoral district.

The Chamber has called it a "debate" but these meetings have never been actual debates, rather are conducted as an all-candidates meeting with questions presented by the public.

The meeting will be moderated by former Chilliwack mayor Clint Hames.

The livestream is *Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. The candidates will be at Studio C at Cowork Chilliwack.

[*Note: event is Thursday not Monday as the Chamber originally had posted on its website.]

Questions can be asked using slido.com and the event code: #FEDELECT25

Candidates participating include:

Conservative Party: Mark Strahl (incumbent)
Liberal Party: Zeeshan Khan
NDP: Teri Westerby
Green Party: Salina Derish
People’s Party of Canada: Jeff Galbraith

Chris Adam is a candidate for the United Party of Canada as listed on the Elections Canada website but he is not included in the list on the Chamber's website for the April 10 meeting.
