52-year-old Christine Loughead not yet criminally charged despite police recommendations in summer 2024, multiple breaches of her release conditions

While there is often debate about what is acceptable to say online in our age of cancel culture and the backlash against it, the unapologetically racist posts from a Chilliwack woman got her arrested for hate crimes after which she doubled down with far-right wing podcast interviews.

Christine Loughead is a 52-year-old Chilliwack resident who has been spreading hatred on social media about deportation of all non-European immigrants for many months.

Loughead’s racism has been so overt she has had more than a dozen Twitter/X accounts suspended, which is hard to do on a platform with almost zero accountability regarding hate speech.

“I hereby solemnly swear I will not stop being racist under any condition regardless of any arrests or punishments I may receive,” that from the “Canadian Girl” account she was using in 2024 with the handle, @racismisthecure, describing herself as a “mass deportation enthusiast.”

Another Tweet tagged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and shared a list of ethnic groups preceded by the word “Zero,” as in, “Zero Chinese, Zero Africans, Zero Indians,” followed by: “If they aren’t white Europeans they’re gone."

“This is going to happen. You can’t arrest us but we will find them and remove them if you don’t. You are paid by white Europeans to act in the interest of white Europeans only.”

The racist social media posts got the attention of several anti-racist individuals who reported the accounts to Twitter, but also to police, specifically the Chilliwack RCMP, when citizens investigated and figured out who was doing it.

On Facebook, she and/or her partner Dean Neniska post under a business page, Valley Cupboard Painting. A van wrapped with the company information usually sits outside their downtown apartment. The van has been seen driven by a male around progressive events such as the Black Lives Matter march back in 2020 and Chilliwack Pride this past summer, 2024.

Most of the racist posts that have been identified as coming from Loughead were on Twitter/X, but six days ago, on Jan. 28, 2025, a post appeared on the business’s page with the words: “We serve White Europeans only” surrounded by four images of the Canadian Red Ensign, the national flag of Canada from 1892 until it was officially adopted in 1957 and used until 1965.

The post received hundreds of comments online slamming them for the racism.  Since then, the page has 14 even more overtly racist posts, mostly white supremacist anti-immigrant ones over this past weekend, but also some that are anti-semitic.

“Canadians are getting fed up” reads one post that includes a screenshot from @bruce_barrett with a photo of a person dressed as Santa in front of Tim Hortons holding a sign that says “Whites are 6% of the world. Do not fund your replacement. Don’t shop brown. Be racist or go extinct.”

Another is a video showing images that include photos of staff members who are apparently Jewish from the Biden administration. There are also photos labelling several new Trump appointees as Jewish, as well as leaders at 10 prominent universities, and members of the news media at all major U.S. news outlets: FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NPR, and the New York Times.

One of the most recent posts is a Facebook poll from Sunday (Feb. 2, 2025) at 12:23 a.m. with the header: “Quick poll for the marxists,” and three choices: “whites deserve white countries”; “every country is for browns”; or “browns deserve their own countries.”

All these posts appeared more than six months after Loughead was arrested for prior hate-filled content. A news release issued by the Chilliwack RCMP on Aug. 20, 2024 said that police first received reports about the harmful Twitter/X posts, which was investigated by the BC RCMP Hate Crimes Unit.

Loughead was quickly identified thanks to tips from the public, and on Aug. 6, 2024, she was arrested and released with an undertaking that came with two conditions: to not use or possess electronic devices capable of accessing the internet, and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

These conditions have been violated dozens of times since then, according to citizens who have been reporting her posts to police.

“I guess that draws a certain amount of hatred from certain groups. I get a lot of Indians trying to track me down, the Karen mob.”

And while Chilliwack RCMP forwarded the case to Crown counsel recommending criminal charges six months ago, no charges have been laid, as of Feb. 3, 2025.

“This is a sensitive matter that has impacted many members of our community which is evident in the amount of information that continues to be reported to the Chilliwack RCMP,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Carmen Kiener said in the Aug. 20, 2024 release. “We appreciate all the information that has been received as we continue to follow up on all tips received by the public as this investigation continues.”

When asked about the status of the file recently, RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Carmen Kiener told me the file is still under investigation and is being managed by the Chilliwack Serious Crimes Unit.

“We continue to receive tips and information from the public which we are assessing and following up on. Given the amount of social media attention this matter has received, we plan to issue a media release once more information can be made publicly available,” Cpl. Kiener said in an email Jan. 14, 2025. “At this time we are not in a position to comment further.”

Racist doubles down, defies release conditions

Several people have been tracking Loughead's unabashed racism on social media, sharing it and commenting. One post from Oct. 26, 2024, pointed out her many account suspensions, and an image of the piece of paper with her release conditions.

“She’s had probably 10 accounts suspended since August. This is her current one @Canadian_G13 and she’s worse than ever even though she’s on probation.”

Other than her initial “Canadian Girl” Twitter account, other suspended accounts include: @racismisthecure, @racistforhitler, @unclewasreicht, in addition to @Canadian_G13 and a dozen before that, @Canadian_G12, @Canadian_G11, etc.

Not only has she not stayed off social media and the internet as per the undertaking, Loughead seems proud. On Aug. 15, 2024, eight days after her arrest, Loughead was interviewed by racist conspiracy theorist Sean M. Brooks who went over the details of the arrest, which he chocked up to a Bolshevik conspiracy by the police. The interview also delved into their shared racist points of view.

“I’m active on Twitter and I do post about the replacement of the citizens of my country with people I don’t want here, which would be everyone who is not a natural white European who I believe belong in Canada,” she said on the podcast, American Education FM. “I guess that draws a certain amount of hatred from certain groups. I get a lot of Indians trying to track me down, the Karen mob.”

Loughead also went on a YouTube interview with Jayant Bhandari, a Canadian of Indian origin who posts anti-Indian and anti-immigration diatribes in YouTube videos on his website.

“Indians live and die like cockroaches,” Bhandari said in the video with Loughead, which has since been removed.

Hate crimes hard to prove

While Loughead’s online presence is indisputably racist, urging ethnic cleansing of Canada, all things she overtly advocates, she has been charged with no crimes.

Chilliwack RCMP did forward her file to Crown for consideration under section 319 of the criminal code, specifically public incitement of hatred and wilful promotion of hatred.

There also is a subsection of the hatred section of the criminal code that specifically addresses the wilful promotion of antisemitism.

I reached out via the Valley Cupboard Painting Facebook page to ask questions about what her goal is with the racist posts, how many painting jobs the couple has had since August 2024, and how many times she has violated her undertaking.

I did not hear back by Monday (Feb.  3, 2025) afternoon.
